Looks like I'm still having the issue. I changed the SP3 refresh to 60hz too. I was watching a video and the monitor turned off/on. I think I'm going to have to revert the DisplayPort 1.2 setting.

I ordered a FireTV because it supports miracast and it's cheaper than the Microsoft version. I would suggest trying to find and post in a FireTV help forum. The device is pretty new so that might be the best place to look. Hopefully this gets figured out since I'll be using the FireTV for my SP3!

I've been playing around with my config, so my battery has been terrible as of late (swapping A/V, disabling background chrome plugins on browser exit, conditioning battery, etc). I did check this morning and my last 24 hours I was at 7-8 hours though.

I've been using the latest Canary builds and they've been great in terms of CPU usage.

Make sure you visit the Microsoft App Store too. I forgot to do that, which kept me from getting all the OneNote updates (ie double click top of pen to screenshot). Windows Update will have the bulk of the updates though.

It's probably just a defect in the screen from manufacturing. I'd go in for a replacement if you're within your return period.

I used Bluestacks to play Clash of Clans on my SP3, but I ran across some issues when I tried to adjust DPI/resolution through the registry. Overall I'd say the Bluestacks is decent, hopefully future releases will resolve speed/resolution issues.
