Yeah it was a nice surprise. Going from 4 to 8gb actually opened up a lot. Can comfortably use hyper v and actually use edge application defender guard when I let anyone use my surface lol

So accidently shattered the screen the other day and went to the store to pay up the 50 dollars for a replacement. Well I went in with a SP4 128gb 4gb i5, and when I got home I now noticed I have a 256gb 8gb i5... No complaints here lol.

Ahh I see thank you. Also doing it that way causes the surface service to start on boot up and flash a command prompt quickly when logging in where as the surface image through upgrades takes it away.

Ah. I see... If you use the Windows Media Creation tool, you loose the Surface OEM branding. I know its only visual fluff but I'm OCD lol. Also I have tried both ways and for some reason the surface image over creation tool has always seemed more stable, placebo effect or not.

is it the same dimension as the older pen? if I bought a new pen could I just unscrew the top of my old pen and put it on the new one? the top part is just Bluetooth right so it should still work

Once again its the full recovery image on a USB. You don't have to download any files before installing. You boot from the USB. People who bought a new surface pro 4 that came with creators update do not have to first downgrade to anniversary update and then install the recovery image it...

I don't believe you are correct. A few days after the anniversary update hit someone posted their surface pro 4 image that came preinstalled one OneDrive it installed perfectly fine
