    Microsoft Unveils Surface Book 2

Late to the game Maura ;)

Microsoft Announces the Surface Book 2 - 13" and 15" versions

Indeed, and being in the UK, and the way things are going right now, that'll probably mean £2000 which is ludicrous money. I would really love a surface book with dGPU, but for that kind of money I could probably buy a surface pro and a very powerful gaming laptop.

Microsoft Announces the Surface Book 2 - 13" and 15" versions

Sounds great, but it is one heck of a lot of money :/

    End of surface?

Microsoft hit the payload with their perserverance on the surface line. Mocked relentlessly by near everyone and never given a real look in by anyone. All of a sudden then bring out the SP3 and the hardware manufacturers are falling over themselves trying to get in on the gig. Just using my...

    Surface Pro M3 v i5

While I agree on the whole, it depends on the use case, and for those considering lower end machines, they are obviously not intended to be workhorses, or play the latest games, the use case doesn't seem to change. I bought a 4gb i5 sp3 on launch, and then bought a 4gb i5 sp4 on launch, and when...

    Surface Pro M3 v i5

Welcome. What is the intensive program you may use? By which I mean is it intensive like a game, or is it intensive like a video editor (and as such the slower CPU will just make an encode take longer, as opposed to a game not being able to run smoothly). And don't forget that you may be able...

Need Surface Pro 2017 Marvell drivers

Per my first post, is there a specific reason you want them, other than the fact that they're newer? My sp3 is on all the regular drivers, and there is not a single issue, so I'd personally have no reason to try and upgrade them.

Need Surface Pro 2017 Marvell drivers

I think what's being said is that the 2017 drivers may not be compatible with the sp3, and would explain why you're not getting it in Windows update. Microsoft will push driver updates when they're happy they'll not cause any issues.

Need Surface Pro 2017 Marvell drivers

I imagine they'll be pushed via Windows update when Microsoft decides. Any specific reason you are after the brand new ones?

SP3 now 2.5 years old - growing list of problems

Thanks for that, I was aware that something like that existed, but wasn't aware that it was incorporated into law. I was just aware of the EU legislation offering 2 years, but that the user has to prove it is a manufacturing defect or such. In that case, it would definately be an idea for...

SP3 now 2.5 years old - growing list of problems

Unfortunately, name any company, and any product, and faults will occur. That's just life, as unpleasant as it can be if it is your own device that goes pear shaped. My sp3 was bought on launch, and to this day is just great. Companies are under no obligation to do a thing once warranty has run...

Surface Pro 4 I7 fan noise still an issue by sept. 2017?

Mine has never been a problem. Fan only comes on if doing CPU intensive work or gaming.

SP3 now 2.5 years old - growing list of problems

Why can't you talk to Microsoft? I'm out of warranty on all my devices, yet happily spoke with them on live chat just a couple of weeks ago

    Wireless roaming on SP4

I imagine it may be due to the different channels. My parents house has about 7 access points dotted around it, all on the same channel etc, each with the same password and name, and my surfaces switch between them without an issue. I'm no help beyond that I'm afraid.

New Surface pro (5) battery issue

Up to 13.5 hours of video playback. Testing conducted by Microsoft in April 2017 using preproduction Intel Core i5, 256GB, 8GB RAM device. Testing consisted of full battery discharge during video playback. All settings were default except: Wi-Fi was associated with a network and Auto-Brightness...
