Solved Windows Defender update not installing....

Hello all,

Everyday that I turn on my Surface, it tells me that there is an update for Windows Defender Definitions KB2267602. I install said update and everything looks fine but if I restart or even check for updates again the same update is there????? Any ideas?

Thanks for the prompt response GreyFox7. The utility found several errors and looked like it would be the solution. But alas, after a restart the Windows Defender Update is there yet again. Hmmmm

Ok, after installing update again and several restarts, the update is not coming up.... finally!

I actually did mean not. My unit was not installing the Defender update, it said installation was complete each time but upon every restart, I would see the message that I have updates to install and it was always the same numbered Windows Defender update. GreyFox7's suggested link apparently resolved the issue and update finally installed..... for real. Sorry for the long winded retort. I just lovc this device!!
