It is expected that will release the Windows 9 Technical Preview by end of this month, but in the mean-time, their Chinese Weibo account accidentally leaked a teaser for the OS, confirming the Windows 9 name.
As you can see in the pic above, the final retail name of the device will indeed be Windows 9. While this isn't much of a surprise, it was possible Microsoft could have surprised us with a break from their traditional numeric naming convention.
The screenshot above was removed within minutes, but not before several publications nabbed a screen-grab of it.
