I know this has been a big topic for Win8.1, but I recently noticed my fan was running continuously in Win10 even when idle. I downloaded Core Temp and found it runs around 160-170ºF constantly, even when idle for hours. But only when it's plugged into power. On batteries it ran around 110ºF. My Win8.1 setup runs in 110's when idle and up to 130º when playing video.
I didn't notice the fan on continuously in Win10 before. Is this a result of an update?
My only power options (last I checked) was Balanced, so I don't know how to change that so it's not running full throttle while plugged in.
