weird problems!

hey, my pen is paired but it won't write.
i put a brand new battery in (AAAA) and still nothing.
also, the purple button on the top still works but the side buttons don't.

Perhaps you should provide more info. What OS are you running, what pen drivers (have you tried removing them and let Windows re-install them?), what apps does the pen not write in (OneNote, Windows Ink, Photoshop, all?), does the pen tip act as a mouse moving cursor around?
