USB Mic help needed

Hi all, new to the forum. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have a 1 year old MS Surface Pro and just purchased the Blue Snowball Ice USB Mic to do some recording with. However, the surface pro is not even registering that the mic is plugged in. It registers and works on my wife's hp laptop and my kids MacBook. It just doesn't register at all on my surface pro. Help?

Search for and select “troubleshooting settings” with Cortana, then select the “Recording Audio” item from the Windows 10 troubleshooter.

So I tried the troubleshooting app with Cortana and didn't get anywhere. I also went through all the steps in the link you provided. As a "last" resort I even called Blue Technologies customer support. They were awesome, btw! However, they couldn't help either and shipped me a new microphone. And, the new one still doesn't work.

It works and shows right up on my wife's really cheap laptop. Super frustrated at this point.

So I still need help.

Today my Surface Book installed a new driver from Windows Update:
Realtek Semiconductor Corp. - USB -12:00:00 AM - 4/1/2019 10.0.17763.31247

Perhaps this would allow your microphone to connect?
