Upgrade to Windows10 failed!

I just checked my windows update history and saw this

I had no idea that there was an attempt(?) to upgrade to W10! Anybody else seen this? Is this normal?

Upgrades won't start until tomorrow. I can't imagine where that came from.

Same here - already have 5 failed attempts.

Someone must have made a calculation error on the Windows 10 landing module, shades of Mars Orbiter.

I'm Just now downloading it on my Surface 3 Pro. I also had this error.

It's a German Tech Forum.

Basically it says the following:

Delete all files in this Folder: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Than start an admin CMD Promt and write: wuauclt.exe /updatenow

than press enter.


This fixed the error on two of my machines.

odd. I did it and it fixed it for all of my Computers. These are screenshots from my Gaming PC.

...after issuing the command (at admin level), nothing happened - i.e. no error no indication that something was running. Also I went back to the directory I emptied and since it downloaded two more files! - Maybe it has not finished all its downloading yet!
