Time Warner Cable webapp using metro IE

So one of the things I used my iPad 3 for was to watch TV, while my kids were watching what they'd prefer on the actual TV. Now that I (finally) have the surface pro, I can watch TV through the internet app that Time Warner Cable has. My issue is that, although the webapp works perfectly in the desktop version of IE, it does not work in the metro version of IE.

I have installed silverlight and restarted the SP, but to no avail. Has anyone been able to get this working? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Modern IE doesn't do things like Siliverlight and add-ons. Those only work in Desktop IE. Part of the sandboxing and security of Modern IE.
