Syncing Problems Pro 3 i7 256

Last Friday I received my pro 3 i7 and I am very happy with it because it is just an awesome machine and a big step up from the rt, surface 2, pro and pro 2 I own(ed). I am happy that I could work on all these machines but for the first time I come across a problem I just can't solve and also Microsoft phone support not (after two hours). They asked me to go to the store to swap the machine so I did that Wednesday.

What's the problem? Let me explain.

It syncs but partially. It syncs my contact's, my avatar (picture on my account), it syncs my apps, it sync's my OneDrive and it syncs to my other devices (in internet explorer I can see my pro 3 on other devices when I go to desktop mode and click on a empty tab next to my homepage) So, conclusion syncing does happen but not on my pro 3 correctly.

I don't see my previous searches, I don't see my desktop background, I don't see my screensaver and I don't see my other devices.
This is what I tried:
- Checked my sync setting one OneDrive (all on)
- Refreshed my pro 3 several times
- Reinstall the OS several times
- Switched to a local account and activated my Microsoft account again
- Went to the Microsoft store and swapped my device ( I know its not a hardware failure but trying was my last option)
- Refreshed my surface 2 and Re-Installed my account on my surface 2 and there it works like a charm (everything syncs)
- Logged on with a different account on my pro3 and that syncs
- chatted with OneDrive support and this guy, logged in remotely did a few things I already did, could not figure it out after half an hour and then told me that he called with a few colleagues that this was a know issue (I will put the chat below for those of you who want to read it) and that I should wait for a "fix" in coming updates.

I am almost sure it has something to do with my OneDrive account not being able to sync correctly with the pro 3 for some reason but I can't find anyone on line having the same problems so I am hoping there is a very smart mind in these forums that knows a solution because this is very frustrating.

Please let me know if anybody else has the same issue

Doesn't sound too crippling. I wouldn't worry too much about it. If they know about it and are working on it, I would just have some fun and use your new SP3 as it is.

I retuned my SP3 i5 in and purchased an i7. To be honest, I could of cared less about all of the syncing stuff like browsing history or backgrounds, etc. Just so I still had access to my Onedrive and Dropbox data.

Well, I agree it is not crippling, but..... Its not how it should be, the fact that I cannot find others with the same problem and the fact that my outlook account syncs perfectly makes me wonder if this is actually an account issue.....
Not saying one bad word about the pro 3 btw, this machine is awesome!!!!

The syncing between devices is awesome, I can do research at home and find the places I visit online on my work PC and all my devices have the same "feel" to them so I do miss it ;-)

Strange, I also had a syncing issue on my i7 Pro 3 which I got 8/8/14... All the progress on the app store games is not recognized. I had a SP1 and when I got a replacement SP1 all my apps maintained the progress I had made. Furthermore, I cannot re-install the FIFA 14 game, one of my favorites. I have chatted with MS but I decided not to exchange my device over something just yet.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing, clearly there is something with the syncing progress. I checked FIFA 2014 and it installed fine on my pro3. I had it before but almost never played it and that's why did nit install it on my new machine so that worked for me..... strange how these things can do different things with different results...

Hope they find a solution soon because I do start to miss the syncing over all my devices
