Surface Pro dead? Weird Battery issue

Hi!

My Surface Pro suddenly is doing strange things.

Basicly its stuck on PLugged in Battery not charging, but I have tried everything mentioned on the net.
Even rolled back from win 10 to win 8.

The funny thing is, sometimes it decides to charge for a few seconds when turned on and if the Surface is OFF the surface charges slowly but it does charge up to 100%.

On when I power it up it stops charging

So is it a software issue or is it a hardware issue?

I am guessing its a short circuit, worth fixing?

It almost sounds like your charger can't keep up with charging and running the unit at the same time.
Do you have access to another charger?
Try cleaning the charger contacts.

Hate to say it, but sounds like your battery may be bad.
