Surface Pro 4 - E and L not working - tried all posted fixes

Worst piece of technology ever. E and L do not work. I have:

Uninstalled the keyboard

Turned the keyboard around

Held the power for thirty seconds followed by the power + volume up for 15

Checked for new drivers

checked that all SP and updates are current

cleaned contacts

Months of this crap. My other favorite is trying to select suggested words while using FB in three different browsers. Words duplicate themselves and parts of posts repeat themselves.

Any advice on making the over priced worthless garbage work as minimally intended? Civilizations have been able to produce typing machines for years. Surely, someone at Microsoft has the skill to enable the E and L key to work. This is a known problem. MS should be ashamed to sell this.

No - too many other issues, scrolling issues, freezing, sound stopping, "hello" not working, unlocking issues, etc...

Like many others, the keys stopped working after an update. Not a hardware issue.

Then its a reset or a replace...

Dude, do a system refresh (which is definitely a posted solution) or get a warranty replacement and bring peace to your life.

Just refresh the machine and tackle one issue at a time.

As for the type cover: have you tried connecting another type cover? Or connect your type cover to a different SP4? (Or SP3 for that matter....)
