Surface Book Availability

I am curious if anyone has any knowledge or educated guess, when the Surface Book will be back in the online store? Do you think they're done with "pre-orders"? I know it's up for debate whether Microsoft is being cautious, or strategic with their supply of Surface Books.

This will be my first Surface purchase, and I'm not familiar with how previous Surface pre-releases went. By the time I decided to pull the trigger (carefully considering all options) it was "sold out". I guess on the flip-side, waiting has the benefits of seeing the true benchmarks between the models...

imo they underestimated the demand. Nobody knows how long it will take for them to get enough stock to make them available for pre-order again.

Amazon has a few left of the lower model, not sure about any of the others.

Thank you, both. Unfortunately (or fortunately, however you look at it) I'm faculty in a school - so I won't get my discount at Amazon. I guess I'll just have to be a little more patient, or look at other options.
