Surface 3 performance

Hi, can anybody tell me, how works MS Visual studio and MS SQL server on surface 3? Lazy or swiftly? Im student of University and i need to write diploma thesis.

Thx for all responses.

It will run it, but it won't be fast, especially SQL Server the eMMC is just too slow, if you have a MSDN or MSAA benefit, I would activate your Azure Benefit and bring those up in a VM there...then using RDP from the S3.

Note about Azure: If you pay, it doesn't cost you more if you use 100% CPU vs. 5% but if you're not using it, shut it down don't leave it on and idle.

I can tell you that SQL is very sluggish. I remote into my workstation when I need to do anything there. It is still pretty amazing how well the S3 performs however. I hope the next version will have a SSD.

Intel blocks mSATA SSD drives from their Tablet and Phone SoC, only eMMC interfaces....
