my unit 17 256 gig is messed up. is it possible to buy a dvd from Microsoft that will make my unit like new? without going through all the recovery downloads. I have no access to w10 start menu so I need something that will wipe it all clean and start over thanks for any help.

It looks like your problem is Windows 10. Moving this to the SP3 Win10 section. You can download and build your own recover USB drive. No need to purchase a DVD.

If you want to truly "wipe it clean" then you want to "Show all" and then "How to perform a clean install of Windows" at the bottom.

When it asks for a product key, just "skip".
