Set up MicroSD card as a virtual drive to install DropBox etc

I don't know if you have seen this article but I've just followed it and set up my 64GB Micro SD card as a virtual drive. Doing this enables you to install DropBox, SkyDrive and any other program on the SD Card.

On Windows 8, particularly on tablets with a permanently inserted micro SD card, is there a universal way to treat the card as a non-removable drive? - Super User

Seems to work great and it mounts automatically on start up

Any downsides you noticed? Speed/file transfer speed still good?

ive been using this method. as long as your sd card is fast enough (suggesting the sandisk extreme class 10 80mb read/50mb write, though I'm using a slightly slower card at 70mb read and 18mwrite) works fine. and loading times isnt as bad
