SD Card Always Disconnected After Windows Unlocks

So every time my surface comes back from hibernation or even from a windows lock my SD card is no longer recognized. If I remove it and re-insert the card it is fine and everything is back. It's just really frustrating to remove and re-insert each time I unlock my system. Woe is me with my first world problems.....

Anyone know of a fix for this, or even seen this issue before?

Mine did something similar until I reformatted it as NTFS (think it was exFAT before) and it's been fine since.

If you are using a Sandisk Ultra card those are too thin and don't make a solid connection inside your SP. Get a non Ultra card and you won't have any issues.

After my initial problems (literally just had to reboot) my Ultra card has been fine and without issue.

Why would it work most of the time though and only go out when the system get's locked?

@Micthelvii is right about this. There are(were?) problems with some Sandisk Ultra cards : SanDisk says it produced some bad 32GB and 64GB microSD cards
