Screencast-o-matic on Surface 3

I am trying to use screencast-o-matic on the a Surface 3. I have everything installed that is necessary but when I try to record I can't get the screencast screen to appear on top of the One Note app that I am trying to record from! Can this be done?

I know nothing of this software etc, but all I can think of is that it might just be badly developed software. Ive not tried in a while, and I know it has been updated, but it used to be the case that you couldn't use the windows snipping tool to snip MUI apps. Have you tried recording the activity when using the desktop version of OneNote? (free download)

I use screencast-o-matic and it works well on desktop applications (windows 8.1 and 10). It also works of the MUI onenote in windows 10 (just tested then). From memory, the MUI apps in windows 8.1 didn't work though.
