Screen brightness auto changes with videos on battery power

I can't stop auto adjust screen brightness on a SP4 despite "change display brightness automatically" in settings turned off and advanced power settings option "enable adaptive brightness" set to off.
The problem occurs when running on battery only. It is particularly noticeable when viewing videos in an Edge browser window. As soon as the video changes the scene the SP4 starts changing the brightness, and the changes are obtrusive and unpleasant to view.

I can't say that I have ever heard of such a thing. I'd check a few things. Driver Updates, OS Updates, App Updates.

ALL done, same problem. Same in IE as Edge. E.g., youtube vids on battery. Change scene, screen brightness goes up or down gradually, sometimes in middle of scene, usually at the beginning.

Ok do you know how to check the drivers to see if they are all updated?

Yes, Devise Manager, uninstall all video drivers and restart.

It now appears to be something funny with youtube videos. I just tried it using live streams from the Eurosport Player, and did not have the problem, running on battery.
