Sometimes when I reboot my Surface Book (e.g. because my detach-auto-rotate is broken again), the screen will be at 100% brightness, even though all the settings are set to 50%.
The screen brightness bar in settings will show 50%, and the screen icon if you press Fn-delete will show 50%, but the screen will be at 100% until you physically change it.
This is primarily annoying because, if you do not immediately notice, it will deplete the battery very quickly.
