S Pen right-click issue

I have recently installed an ATC simulation program on my surface pro 3 which I use with the S Pen.

The program works fine, except the right click of the S-pen doesn't perform the function of the right mouse click.

I am getting the white circle to confirm the right click mode is operational, but not the appropriate response from the program.

I know the program is not written for use with the s-pen, but I thought the s-pen merely immitated a mouse right-click so not sure what the problem.

Any advice would be appreciated.
