Restore Question - Surface Pro 128GB with Win 10 Upgrade

I used the free upgrade to upgrade my surface pro 2 to Windows 10. The unit shipped with Win 8 if I ever need to restore the unit to factory defaults, will it restore to Win 8 or win 10? If it restores to Win 8 how can i get Win 10 again if the upgrade program is ending?

Welcome to the forum

At this point a factory reset would go to Windows 10 so the second question doesn't really apply, however, once on Windows 10 and activated you can install Windows 10 (same version) again without the need for a serial number. The previous OS no longer is needed.
