Restore Partition missing

I just bought an SP2 and the factory recovery image is missing. The C: has been extended to take it's place.

I'd like to do a clean install before getting too far along with it.

Is there a CD or something from msoft?

Thanks but I went the brute force way. I downloaded the 8.1 pro ISO, burned to a CD and installed from that. It activated OK, is now all up to date and running fine.

The big advantage was the original 8.1pro took up almost 45GB of the 128GB SSD. Installing the bare OS took, 12GB and after 40-minutes of downloading and installing updates, it is still only 16GB. So a big win there. I have partitioned off 60GB as drive D:.

I now have a known good Recovery CD.

I just thought I would grab a copy anyway, but the past two days I have used the leink from there and logged into Live, then click the Download link, but I get "Server not available" response.

Any thoughts on how to get this download?
