recording samples

Can anyone suggest I program/app that will enable me to record sections of MP3's I have on my surface pro, either saved on the had drive or recording a sample while playing an Amazon song that is playing from the cloud?? Is there a program that will also enable me to continuously play that recorded sample on a continuous loop or for a pre set amount of time that I can set??

Works for me, just about every time. You can also use open source Audacity, although the procedure would be more involved.

Thank you! I just downloaded that and tried to quick record something playing in my Amazon Music player... It worked, but didn't realize it was actually using the built in mic to record what was coming out of the speakers and not internally, so I picked up what was playing on the TV in the background... guess I have some reading to do!
