Question about Docking Station

Hello,
When I plug a speaker in the back of the docking Station I don't get any sound, work if I plug directly on the surface.
I just received my docking station, is is something I have to do so the speaker work when connected at the station?

While in the dock apply the firmware update that was released for it and make sure your playback device is set to the dock from the Sound Control Panel (right click on the Speaker Icon in the Tray and select Playback Devices).

Thank you, I did the firmware update and looked in the sound control panel but didn't read well, I didn't see Docking Station!
