Programs disappearing from Start Menu`

Hello All

I am having an issue where my Microsoft Office has disappeared from the Start Menu. Is there a way to find them so then I can stick them on the desktop? I tweeted Microsoft and of course no help so here I am.

Windows 10 or Windows 8.1? In Windows 10 type the name of the App in the Search/Cortana Dialog (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.) and 8.1 just type from the Start screen the name of the App...

I did that and it's nothing showing up. It's like its not even there. I'm using Windows 10.
