Pen or screen issue

I'm encountering problems. On OneNote and Bamboo as I write on the screen, the pen 'jumps' in some areas, not inking. Sometimes inking will occur as I move from one character to the next but not touching the screen. If I use Staffpad, a music writing app, sometimes the pen misses strokes or marks inconsistently. I've tried recallibrating, hard rebooting etc. Drivers are up to date.

Suggestions please.

Is this a new problem, or have you had it all along?

Try pulling the nib out and then re-inserting it.

Its a new problem, gradually get worse for a couple of months. Since I posted it draws intermittent lines in OneNote in some areas. SP4
