On-screen keyboard won't auto capitalize first word?

If I detach my screen and type into Notepad, a browser text area, etc. then the on-screen keyboard appears automatically but it doesn't auto-capitalize the first letter after I press the period key. I have Settings...Devices...Typing set with 'Capitalize the first letter of each sentence' enabled. Should it work?

It capitalizes on mine. I just got my SB yesterday and went to do updates, and switched to fast track. Looks like the setting is on by default, I did not change anything apart from the updates. Hopefully this helps.
