New/updated Type cover

Wondering if there was any news about an update to the SP4's Type Cover with Fingerprint ID?

I ask because I had my current Type Cover exchanged at the M$ store over the weekend. The replacement Type Cover is different. The F7 key is no longer Print Screen but a macro key that controls the keyboard backlight brightness. I also had to uninstall and reinstall the type cover drivers to get the fingerprint sensor to work. Seems it was a different device ID that what was on my old type cover. I cannot find any information about it online. Figure maybe it is just a quiet update.

Really? No one has encountered these new versions of the type cover with fingerprint ID?

Sorry - I've not used the Type Cover with a Finger Print reader.

I was at the MS store again. All type covers are updated with the new F7 key at the top.
