My surface is so confining.

I have a Surface Rt. It has alot of space but I'm tired of not being able to download what I want. Internet explorer is driving me crazy dropping my apps. I need chrome. If I contact the website because it's not working it says it does better on chrome. Is there any way to get around what ever that will only let you download from the store?

No, because it has an ARM CPU so even if you download something it won't run x86 programs.

Randiew, As Greyfox mentioned, you can't run regular Windows programs on an RT, but you should be able to download a variety of files including a wide range of image, video. music and ebook files plus PDF, DOC, XLS, PPT and TXT. What kind of files are you having trouble with?
