My SP4 has extremely bad bluetooth range

My Surface Pro 4 has an extremely bad Bluetooth range! With my previous system I could connect my Bluetooth headphone and walk around in our entire flat listening to music. With the SP4 I can only go away for ~2 meters and the sound already starts to get very noisy and many drop-outs. 3-4 meters away or through the first door and the connection drops!
Is there any power-saving mode or such that one can disable (at least for certain devices)?

Really no wisdom on that in the entire community? What ranges do other users see? Also only 2 meters (~6 feet) or better?

Sorry - I use my phone for Music (950XL) and I can go 30 feet or more with it....

Hm. Strange! And it can't be the headphone because when connected to my mobile the headphone (Sennheiser Momentum M2 - excellent BTW!) works at least 10-12 meters and through 2 walls. It's only with the SP4 that the connection is so shaky. :-(
Maybe they forgot to properly attach the BT antenna when composing the device?
