Missing Mail

A strange one!

I received an email, the other day. When I went back, today, to refer to it, using the Mail app on my Surface, it was not there.

But, when I searched for the author, it appeared. Went back to the in box and, again, it was not there! Grabbed my phone and brought up mail and there it was. It also shows up if I use Outlook.

Tried rebooting, out of desperation but no difference.

Anyone else seeing this?

I see that type of problem a lot. If all your mail is set up as IMAP it shouldn't happen. But if one is set up as POP mail and gets it first and that client is NOT set to leave mail on the server that would be "a" cause.

The email, suddenly, reappeared, today. Go figure.
