The Microsoft Surface Pro is finally on its way to Europe. Well, to parts of the continent at least. Microsoft’s tablet is going to land on UK shores on May 23, followed by a release in more European countries on May 30, so exactly one week later.
The device running the ‘full’ version of Windows 8 and not the cut-down Windows RT will retail in the UK starting at £719. That will net you the version with 64 GB of built-in storage, but keep in mind that this being desktop Windows, quite a chunk of that will not be accessible to you. If you want more, there’s also the 128 GB model, which will be sold for £799.
The usual Surface accessories will also be on sale naturally. The Touch Cover will cost £99, while the Type Cover will be priced at £109.
Elsewhere in Europe, you’ll be able to purchase the Surface Pro in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland starting on May 30. Pricing will obviously differ according to country, this is how things always are.
Europe won’t be alone in welcoming the Surface Pro this month. The tablet will be out in Hong Kong on May 17, and then in Australia and New Zealand too before the end of May.
