microsoft surface laptop 3 (how to detach the keyboard)

Hi,
I recently bought a microsoft surface laptop 3. I cannot remove the keyboard from the surface. If i press the power-button, it wont become green.
Any advice?
Maybe i miss something in the settings.

I do believe only the Surface Book has a button that allows you to detach the screen from the keyboard. Otherwise, the Surface Pro doesn't require a button press to detach the keyboard from the screen.

Surface Laptop is a traditional clamshell, the Surface Book has a detachable screen, currently in market is the Surface Book 2.

Please confirm which device you own.

Let us reiterate this...the Surface Laptop does not have a detachable screen, it is a laptop not a 2 and 1.

With a screen that thin....where would you expect the computing power to be?
