Microsoft Surface 3 plugged in but not charging, and it's out of battery

I have a Microsoft surface 3, but it's not charging even though the power connector is plugged in and it is lighting up. Now it is out of battery, and everytime I try turning on the surface with it plugged in, it keeps showing up the low battery icon. Also, I left the surface plugged in for about 7 hours during my sleep, but it still shows the low battery icon when I turn it on. I tried searching up how to fix the problem but none of the methods work. So how do I fix this? Thanks

The only way to know if it's the charger or the Surface is to try another charger and or cable.

So... What charger and cable are you using?

Do you have another charger and cable to try?
