Is the SB drive encryption on by default?

I just picked up a new i7 512, and when I get back home this weekend, the first thing I always do is create a full image of the system before even booting it in to the OS. If encryption is on it treats the drive as one huge 512gb file, which takes a huge amount of time and space.

I turned off the encryption on my S 2 Pro to reduce space and time. Just wondering if this is still a default on the SB?

Thanks,

Gary

May have to change my plan of attack and turn off before my first image. I do not sign in with a microsoft account. I use a local account before joining it to my domain. Or I'll just eat the space and time and make the boot image first.

Thanks for the info.
