Inspired by another thread on the Microsoft Surface Forums, I decided to do some benchmarking of my SP6 and IMHO my SSD speeds are not up to snuff. I have the i7 model with 16 GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. According to UserBenchmark.com I have a Kbg30zpz512g TOSHIBA SSD. My SSD is formatted with 512MB unformatted at the end, and the rest of the usable space is divided between C: and F: partitions.
The UserBenchmark results for the SSD varied significantly, but even the fastest seemed slow, so I ran CrystalDiskMark 3x on each of the two user partitions, for a total of six tests. The *highest* write speed reported was 328 MB/s. Isn't that awfully slow for an NVMe SSD?
