Is Microsoft HW Driver Support Over for our Devices?

I notice the SP4 and SB are getting all of the love right now, and why shouldn't they. They are the new hotness from Microsoft. However they are starting to get updates that fix things we suffer from on the SP3 at least. Case in point the bug where if you have the keyboard folded back and reboot, or turn on the device there is an inordinate delay before a login screen appears. This supposedly was fixed with the latest December firmware bundle for the SP4. Meanwhile we haven't had a legitimate HW driver bundle since the October release. I wasn't around for the SP1->SP2->SP3 transition. Is this par for the course?

Does anyone think Microsoft will get with it and produce some fixes for us or are we dead to them?

They will propagate the updates to other Surfaces. The Surface 3 December update brought some of the same issues of the SP4 to the S3. Thanks for that.
