How Much Data for Updates Needed Monthly?

I am wondering how much internet data i would need to keep the Surface Pro up to date each month, the reasons i ask is i am going to get a mobile internet dongle and a data only sim card just to do minor internet surfing
I know that most of the tablets don't need much data usage to keep them up to date but i don't know if the Surface Pro is like a computer which needs sometimes 100s of megs / month to be up to date

Somewhere around that. I don't have internet at home, and I use an LTE subscription on my mobile phone for all my updates.

I'm on DSL, so haven't paid attention to the update volume, but the Surface Pro is not just a "tablet." It is a Windows 8 computer, so will be subject to all of the Windows 8 updates.
