Surface Book:
Made an in-App purchase today of ocean tide tables for 2016. The App turned on Hello face recognition, identified me, then proceeded to seek my confirmation for the purchase.

Surface Pro 4 Type Cover (on Surface Pro 3):
I also can make purchases using the Fingerprint Reader model of the Type Cover 4.

It was good to have the identification step already done for me by Windows 10 Hello and the Surface Book camera.

Sounds fascinating but also a little unsettling.

Is that the type of function that's turned off by: Settings - Privacy - App connector ? I'd feel better knowing that I had control over who turned my camera on.

I wonder how long it will be before someone hacks a 3D printed headshot and fingerprint set. ;)

I love it and can't wait for more and more apps to start supporting Windows Hello.

At the top of my list right now is LastPass.

Very cool! While I like the convenience and it reminds me of smartphones with NFC/Apple Pay/etc, I'm still skeptical on purchases. Logins and other practical applications/scenarios are fine, but don't want someone spoofing my face for things like this without my authorization.
