Handwriting not working - Too fast on translate

The problem is this - the handwriting has worked in the past but here is what happens now. I go into OneNote, I do the handwriting. When I start using the stylus it is like the handwriting part puts into the document way way way too fast. For example, If I were to write the word "Test" in the past it would translate and then I could hit "insert" or not. Now, when I get the top slash of the first "T" it takes that and puts it directly into the document- it doesn't let me finish the entire "T" and it doesn't give me an option to insert or not, every letter is like that. It makes this useless.
