Group 2 pictures in word touch on a Surface 2

I'm new here, it's my first post. Please help me.

I bought a Surface 2 tablet mainly to use with microsoft word. And one of the main tasks i'm doing on it requires to group several pictures in one group. But i could not do this since there is no way to select two photos at once with the touch functions.

Can someone show me a way to successfully group pictures with word touch?

when choosing your photos click N hold the shift key on your keyboard and select the photos you want and that should allow you to select as many as you want...

The poster was asking for TOUCH solutions, not keyboard.

Draw a select rectangle around both pictures (Touch and expand) until both pictures are selected. Long press and select Group.
It works with the surface pen, so it should work with the finger as well.
