I would like to be able to use my Surface RT to view maps while on trails in my jeep. Any ideas to hook up gps and maps to the tablet? Similar to streets and trips I guess is what I am looking for. Thanks

Bing maps is already there, though not sure how you would integrate it with a GPS easily.

There is no GPS chip in the RT (or the Pro for that matter) so you would need to add on a Bluetooth or USB GPS receiver and also have a mapping software that can take advantage of that data. Not sure if the software available for the RT does or not. I bought MS Streets and Trips which included a USB GPS dongle fairly cheap on Amazon. It works, but I prefer my smaller phone for that type job.

Great to know that it does work. I agree that I prefer gps on my phone just out of habit and convenience.
