Very bummed that I can't do anything with it and have to go back tomorrow to get a new power chord.
Got a brand new surface pro i5 128g out of the box and the power chord doesn't work

Mine stopped working after a week (light on the charger was in, but not charging the battery). The store wapped it for me. My replacement has been trouble free for a month. Fingers crossed it stays that way ☺
I had a similar problem with my SP1 charger.
Seems to be many problems with the MS chargers.
I'm not sure if MS have QC issues, or they just don't have the experience yet to design reliable / durable hardware.

I find the power chord unsatisfactory considering this is a portable device. The cable on the power chord is very easy to bend and expose the internal cabling. This happened on my original surface pro. I wonder why they didnt reinforce the cable at the point it meets the plug.

Yeah, I seem to remember this happening a lot on my original surface pro. It's just annoying, I bought this insanely expensive device that flat out wont work until I go back to swap cables.
