Good news for Surface Pro X owners

After news about Apple leaving Intel for their own ARM CPUs, it seems as though ARM is the future and Surface Pro X is set.

We will see what Microsoft does with software from here on out. I am going to try the Pro X very soon and move my ipad to my wife or sell it and get her an X too.

Intel has to be very worried. First Surface Pro X, now Surface Duo.

Intel will always be around. Arm is just another way of doing things as well. Just like when smartphones came out, or more so, tablets. Everyone said tablets would ruin notebook sales, However, this past quarter, Notebook sales increased compared to previous years. Why? Notebooks provide a more comfortable experience for doing things. Tablets will always be a consumption device. Now, the surface lineup blurs the lines more than others, but typing LOTS of content etc, I know I will grab my laptop every time if I am on the road, or plug it into my desk setup if home. I want the X for when I am in our camper and need a lightweight device to do some work and create content on the fly, if needed, and I am not near a power source. If I have shore power, I will break out my Dell every time.

That will not happen. It would be awesome to have More MS based hardware devices, but not a chance on them using their own chips.
