Hi all. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to help me out with a problem I am having with the front-facing webcam.
I have a freeware program called CamDesk that allows you to have a small window on your desktop that gives you a live-feed of your webcam. I would like to use it to study with a friend using the screenshare option in Google Hangouts so he can see both my screen and my face at the same time (screenshare disables the webcam normally). However, when I use this program with the front webcam, the picture is so dark you can only see my face in silhouette. I believe this is due to the low-light enhancements Microsoft has added to the camera.
So my question is, how can I get my webcam to show up on my desktop?
Options I am thinking of are an alternative to CamDesk, new drivers, or possibly a way to manually adjust the camera's light levels.
Thanks!
