Flight Mode always "on"?

The flight mode on my device is always turned "on" for some reason.
By "on" I mean that the icon in the sidebar shows it as "on" but I am also connected to my Wifi just fine - hence it clearly isn't really "on".

Has anybody else had this problem?
I find it really irritating.

It's a common issue, even on desktops and has been around for a while. Flightmode and Bluetooth appear on systems with no WiFi or Bluetooth. It usually isn't actually on. Nothing to get worried about as it seems to be low on the priority list of fixed. Doesn't affect operation at all.
