Bethesda Softworks has announced that Fallout 4 is free to play this weekend on Steam for PC and for all Xbox Live Gold members, running through until 1 p.m. PT on Sunday, May 28.
Players will have access to Mod support during the freeplay period, but not to any of the premium downloadable content. This ties in well with Bethesda’s monthly pick of some of its favourite Fallout 4 mods, which it has just posted, writes The Express. One new Fallout 4 Mod that has attracted a lot of attention this week is Pilgrim-Dread the Commonwealth, which PC Gamer says “turns Fallout 4 into a dread-soaked horror experience.”
And assuming that you like what you see of Fallout 4 during the free trial, you’ll then be able to buy it at 67% off, but you’ll have to make your mind up quickly as that offer only lasts until 10 a.m. PT on May 29.
