Difficulty recognizing my bluetooth headset on Skype

Problem: I turn on my Bluetooth Plantronics headset.. setup says I'm connected but Skype does not switch from tablet speakers and microphone.

Poor solution: close Skype and restart Skype

Wish I could make a linked tab to the speakers so I can reset the default
